A self-confessed bathroom singer and dedicated morning walker, I balance creativity with simple daily joys. I am also a big foodie who loves exploring new flavours and local favourites. Being around kids, whether in an art class or at play, always makes me happiest.

How I move from a quiet idea to a finished piece

Finding the feeling
Before I begin, I slow myself down. I sit with the mood I want to hold in the piece. Sometimes it comes from a memory. Sometimes from a color or a gesture I noticed earlier in the day. I sketch lightly and wait for the idea to settle into a shape that feels true.

Building the base
Once I know the direction, I choose the medium that matches the feeling. Every base behaves differently, so I work slowly. I lay down simple strokes or forms that set the rhythm of the piece. This first layer decides the atmosphere and the movement that follows.

Layering and shaping
This is where the work begins to breathe. I add depth through small choices. A shift in tone. A new texture. A change in pressure. I keep stepping back to see what the piece is becoming. I let it guide me instead of forcing it into a fixed outcome.

Finishing with clarity
When the piece starts to feel alive, I move into refinement. I clean edges, balance spaces, and remove anything that distracts from the core feeling. I know the work is done when the noise inside it disappears and only the quiet remains.

One of the most heartwarming chapters of my journey began with my son’s simple wish for a wall art in his room. What started as an experiment soon became a cherished expression of love and creativity. Today, everything I am as an artist is shaped by the unwavering support and inspiration of my beloved son, Vishaal. His love fuels my creativity and inspires me to become a better version of myself, both personally and professionally, every day.

A Timeline of
My work journey
1999
Her journey begins as a quiet hobby. A few colours, a little time to herself, and a space where she could slow down and breathe.
Early 2000s
Motherhood arrives and life becomes full. Art pauses, but the curiosity stays alive in small sketches and moments stolen between days.
2003
She returns to painting with new intention. This becomes a gentle restart, where she explores subjects without pressure, letting her instincts guide her.
2003 to 2015
These years are slow and deeply personal. She paints for herself, for her home, and for the joy of creating something real. Her style grows quietly through practice, reflection and patience.
2015
Her work begins to resonate with the people around her. Friends and early admirers notice the emotion and softness in her pieces. Their encouragement nudges her toward a more open artistic path.
2016 – First Canvas Commission
She receives her first commissioned canvas. It becomes her first step into sharing her inner world with others in a meaningful way.
2016 – Buddha Painting
She completes a Buddha artwork that marks a shift in her voice. It brings a sense of stillness and spiritual grounding that becomes central to her later work.
2018 – Rameshwaram Temple Wall Mural
She creates a large mural for a temple in Rameshwaram, blending wall art with light. The scale challenges her, and the outcome transforms the space. The appreciation that follows becomes a quiet but important affirmation.
2020–2021 Pastel Pencil Workshop with Shashikant Dhotre
During covid, she immerses herself in an intensive pastel pencil workshop under Shashikant Dhotre. Eight to ten hours of focused learning each day deepen her technique, discipline and emotional sensitivity. It becomes one of her most defining phases of growth.
2023 to 2024
She continues refining her mediums: pastel pencil, acrylic, textured surfaces and more. Her pace stays slow, intentional and rooted in feeling. Each new work becomes a study in patience.
Started practising oil painting as a new medium for her art and painted ‘Faith’ - an artwork very close to her heart.
2025 – A Moment in Cinema
One of her artworks appears in a film. Her art steps into a new cultural space, reaching people far beyond her immediate community. It becomes a proud milestone in her journey.
Introducing art syllabus for government KPS - Karanataka Public School, in Masthi - Kolar for LKG to 3rd grade students. Curating, Sourcing and Supplying materials need for the entire curriculum of art subject in the school. Trained a group of teachers and taught 250 plus students as an Art Educator at KPS Masthi Kolar.
Today
Her world now includes turtles, lady wall art, celestial scenes, sun and tower pieces and more. She works slowly because she believes art should unfold honestly. Every painting carries the quiet truth of someone who has lived with colour for years, and still treats it with tenderness.
